LOW-COST CONCRETE GAMES ALIGNED WITH SPAECE MATHEMATICS DESCRIPTORS

This study examines strategies to improve mathematics education in public schools in Ceará, Brazil, focusing on

SPAECE assessment descriptors. The research explores the use of low-cost, concrete games as pedagogical tools, 

designed with accessible materials tailored to the realities of Brazilian public schools. These games address critical 

SPAECE descriptors with historically low performance, offering an alternative and engaging approach to mathema-

tics teaching. The main outcome of this work is a publicly available collection of concrete games intended to 

support and enhance mathematics teaching across diverse educational contexts.
